University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) became one of the nine National Demonstrative School of Microelectronics in July 2015. The nine schools of microelectronics, come from the top universities in China: Tsinghua Univ., Beijing Univ., Fuda Univ., …, were approved by the Ministry of Education, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs.
The National Demonstrative School of Microelectronics will promote talent training with industry, improve internal management system, and integrate internal resources. A platform will be built by schools, institutes and companies for the talent training in microelectronics technology. Programs cooperating with overseas universities will be setup to cultivate talent with international perspective. Innovative paths will be explored to help cultivating in-service staff in companies. All the programs and plans above aim to cultivate high-end engineering talent with industry perspective and innovation capability, which will benefit the national strategy of microelectronics industry.
